Purpose

Origin & Mission

The Sustainability and Social Investment (SSI) Awards were founded in 2017 with a singular belief: that Ghana's most meaningful progress happens when businesses, foundations, and civil society invest in people and planet alongside profit. Organised by Ianmatsun Global Services Ltd — publishers of The Sustainability Report, Ghana's only dedicated CSR and sustainability magazine — the SSI Awards were built to fill a critical gap: a credible, nationally recognised platform where organisations could be held to account for their social and environmental commitments, and celebrated when they truly delivered. As we enter our 10th year, that mission remains unchanged. If anything, it is more urgent than ever. Climate change, inequality, and youth unemployment demand that Ghana's corporate and civil sector step up — and the SSI Awards exist to ensure that those who do are recognised, celebrated, and challenged to go further.
